Hummingbird Photo Of The Week...

For Amy and her kids...

I have year round hummingbirds here in the Pacific Northwest~Even on freezing days like this one! Freezing weather is very rare in these parts. This cold little baby looks pathetic but no worries~ I always make sure two feeders around the house stay completely thawed out. There were a couple of weeks this last winter that making sure the feeders were drinkable seemed like a full time job but these little guys are worth it.

Word Of The Week: Philippians 2: 10,11~ That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (King James Version)

  1. Absolutely precious, Robin! Do you take the feeders down when they freeze and warm them inside? You are an angel, for sure!:-) Lori

  2. Good Morning Lori, :)

I take a couple of feeders inside to stay warm late at night and put them out real early in the morning for the hummers-THEN I go back to sleep!!!They don't feed at night.
I also don't use plastic feeders anymore...I like the glass ones better. They look better and are easier to keep clean IMHO.
    Have a blessed Sunday~!

  3. That is a great picture. That humming bird is so cute. Great post. Oh I love your new picture on the title. Have a great Sunday.
    Bye bye.♥ ;)

  4. I love your new header. It looks really great.

The little bird on a cold day getting some nourishment is so precious. It is so cute with the snow capped feeder. Looks like a cute snowcone.

I can't wait for the day when every knee shall bend. It will be glorious. Thanks for sharing this wonderful Sunday post Robin. And thanks for the personal invitation. We might seriously take you up on that someday. :)

  5. Thanks Robin! The kids and I love the picture! Your little guy looks much fatter than the one that's been visiting our house. I'm glad we can look forward to seeing him during the winter! I've noticed that he visits the feeder whenever we sit down to eat--like he's part of the family!

Love hearing from you~Sorry but I can no longer take comments from Anonymous due to so much spam~
