Friday's Quote:

(click photo to enlarge-Can you find the bird?)

The cure for anything is salt water ~

Sweat, Tears, or the Sea.

~Isak Dinesen~

Our weather has been real hot for Seattle-We are nearing the 100's. They have put out a warning for people with asthma to stay indoors due to poor air quality. We decided that tomorrow we will just head to the beach where the temps are always much cooler instead of staying indoors another day. The weather will be cooling down next week -Thank the Lord!

  1. Do you remember in the 1800's people believed that the sea held magical healing powers? This quote fits in there perfectly. I love the ocean and long for it when I am away too long. Enjoy your weekend there. I will be thinking of you. m

  5. Oh how I envy you going to the beach!! Like Mechelle said, I too love the ocean and long for it when I can't go to see it for a very long time! How I'd love to live close enough to be able to go anytime I needed to! I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow!

  8. Hi everyone.
Mechelle: What you said reminds me of people believing that Soap Lake here in Washington has magical healing powers also. I know I always feel better when in the Ocean...But I think salt water cures many things. I gargle with it all the time. Too much info?? :)

Lori: yes to the left of the spray...Little ducky big wave-I took this shot from very far away standing on a big cliff.

Darlene: I knew you would understand about hot temps.

Linda: I hope you get a chance to come visit our ocean someday...Thank you for your prayers that was very special to me. I loved your post today.

Rachel: Thanks...Are you back from Palm springs?

Jan: WOW thanks so much-I can't believe you remembered. You are so sweet. I will take the info to my Fred Meyers I'm sure they will be able to match it with no problem. Have a really really great time in Portland and stay out of the heat- It's going to be 103 there tomorrow! I'm keeping you in my prayers.
