Lighted Fall Swag...

Supplies Needed:
At Least 2 Maple leaf Garlands
1 Strand Orange lights Same length of Garland
Decorative Fall Picks (I used pumpkin picks)
Floral Bows
4 inch Zip Ties /Or you can use wire/Twist Ties
♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣
This is very easy... First on the floor or a long table, lay out one strand of maple leaf garland-Put the strand of lights on top of that garland-Add another strand of leaf garland on top of lights to sandwich lights-Space out decorative picks & add in between garland & lights- Zip tie everything together every 6 inches making sure to zip tie decorative picks very securely. You might have to glue gun a leaf or two to cover zip ties -I used red zip ties on mine to blend with leaves. Put up on your mantel-Add floral bow wherever desired. Some other ideas for your swags:
Once you make a small swag, wrap it around a grapevine wreath making sure the plug end is at the bottom of the wreath so you can plug it in. Hang it on a door or the bottom of stair rail.
Make swag real long and wrap it up stairs.
Put the lighted swag over outside door or around outside porch columns.

  3. I think the mantel looks done to me! Just enough - not too much. And oh my - that painting is amazing and deserves the spotlight. Your mom is so talented - and it is surely passed down to you.

You'll understand this excitement - when I was interviewed the other day for CS, I was able to give props to my mom for her influencing my love of decorating and for her wonderful portraits of our kids that hang in the living room. I can't wait until she sees her name in print!!

Have a great day - I am spending mine with my mom!

  12. These swags are so cute! Will you make me one? Seriously. I have absolutely ZERO drive this year. ZIP. ZILCH. NADA. NYET. NONE!
I think even if I did have this swag all made for me, I would probably not have the energy to hang it up.
What is my problem this year?
I have completely lost my zest for decorating.
