Gooseberry Patch...

I come from a long line of crafters... I eat, sleep and dream crafts. Many times I wake during the night with a new crafting idea on my mind. I've always wanted to write a Christmas craft book, one full of ideas on decorating and gift giving.

Have you noticed that many craft books only have a couple of ideas worth trying out and the magazines are full of advertising?

I searched bookstore after bookstore trying to find a great Christmas craft book. Last year I finally found one worth talking/writing about.

Gooseberry Patch creators, Jo Anne and Vickie were neighbors back in 1984. Two moms just trying to find a way to do what they love while being able to stay home with their kids. After many conversations over the backyard fence Gooseberry Patch was born.

To go to their website which is full of kitchen gadgets, books, and wonderful gifts click HERE.

They also have a BLOG.

The other day when my husband and I were in Target he saw me eyeing their "bookazine"(shown above) and that sweetie of mine bought it for me! It's is full of great Christmas crafts and amazing recipes too. What it's not full of is advertising, thanks ladies~

Click HERE to see all my favorite Christmas book/craft books. Go to the "cookbook" heading and click on "Christmas." The books are numbered, I think there are 11 mixed in with other recipe books. There is more then one page to view so make sure you go to the bottom and click "view all."

They also have a newsletter, a catalog, sell gift certificates AND are on Facebook & Twitter! (Clicking Red and Green words will take you to each specified area)

SO many ideas, So little time.
We better get busy! ;)

  6. Robin,
I agree about the advertising & so now I'm very selective which ones I buy. I did buy one GP book last year at Joanne's and I love it. I also check alot of them out of the library. Thanks for the link to their blog.
    hugs,
    Pam

I just had to let you know that after reading this post last night, bought the Gooseberry Patch Christmas magazine and I LOVE IT! :)

Also, yes we sure have had a lot of wind here today! I'm kind of weird, but I love windy days! Especially like today, when there was less rain, more wind! (Although it is pouring out now!) I hope you have a fantastic weekend! :)

  16. Sis: I love Gooseberry Patch. Carolyn introduced me to it many years ago. I am following them on FB too. I love this post. Now, go get busy writing your own book. At night while you dream of crafts, I dream about what you will be making me. XOXO

  17. I saw the "bookazine" the other day but didn't get it because the magazines I get by subscription are piling up (I love magazines, but haven't had time to read them lately.) Maybe if I get caught up on them, I will go out and get this one (I know that YOU know how I feel about Christmas!!)
