Hi Robin Oh that cheeky squirrel! Love the mums. Yellow flowers always make me smile and feel sunny. My Grandad was a champion Chrysanthemum grower! Thanks for the weather forecast. I love these bright autumn days but the cold really shocked me today. Look forward to your finished chalkboard project. Lindsay x
Just came back to look at La Push sunset as all the pictures didn't load for some reason the first time. I am so glad I did because it's gorgeous. Hope to see it myself one day. Lindsay x

The photo that you have labeled as a Hoh Rain Forest chipmunk is actually a Douglas squirrel in its winter fur - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_Squirrel. This is what a chipmunk looks like: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chipmunk
Hey Lucy, Thanks! That was the first Douglas squirrel I've ever seen...It is so much smaller then the squirrels around here that I thought it was a chipmunk~! Thanks alot for the insight and links!
Oooooh I love the pics! The yellow mums are gorgeous along with the sunset!! Can't wait to see the chalkboard project. I think I have some chalkboard paint around here somehwere......
Love that you placed a welcoming treat out for the squirrel!! What a great picture! Of course, they are ALL great pictures. I especially like the flowers, too!
I LOOOOVE that little basket of goodies for the squirrel, wow. We could never do that here..lol..my dogs would have it knocked over in a matter of seconds!
We have a little Douglas squirrel that cleans up the seed that the bird drops on our deck. It drives our 3 indoor cats NUTS when it's scurrying around, especially when it comes nose to nose with one of the kitties through the glass patio door! <3

Ooops, the link for the Douglas squirrel doesn't work. I guess I didn't copy it correctly: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_Squirrel
ReplyDeleteAlso, chipmunks are quite a bit smaller than Douglas squirrels.
