I just want you all to know that this will probably be my last Fall craft post... Christmas is right around the corner so Christmas Crafts are what I will be showing on my blog soon. If I do happen to come up with a wonderful Thanksgiving idea I will be sure to post it~ So lets get started on this week's craft...
The first 2 photos are of the finished product...
Decorated live squash... Artificial squash.
************************************************************************
Supplies you will need:
Artificial or real squash or pumpkins~Twigs~Artificial leaves~Wireless Ribbon~Fall embellishments like acorns, berries, small pumpkins, and a felt crow or other bird/animal~Raffia and A Hot Glue Gun to put it all together.
This is how you create your simple harvest decor...
I bought this artificial squash at JoAnn's for $1.00-There are so many Fall sales at this time...
Gather some twigs and leaves...
Hot glue the twigs and then glue leaves on as fast as you can to help hold the twigs down...
Place bows on top of the leaves real close to each side of the stem to make it look like one bow.
Pick out some Fall embellishments...
Glue them around the bottom and throughout the bow. Wrap a little raffia around to give it a little extra country flare. At this time you would hot glue your felt bird on and you are finished. Give as gifts or decorate your home with this Simple Harvest Decor.
BTW: If you love glitter-Use the spray on type to spray over the whole top of finished decor.

ReplyDeleteSo pretty ! Thanks for giving us the directions. I am ready to see Christmas stuff so I can get some good ideas to copy!
ReplyDeleteRobin, you are about 5 years younger than I am so we probably weren't at dances at the same time, but I rarely ever missed a Newport Beach stake dance. Do you remember those? They were the best! We also went to Hunt Bch, Torrance and Cypress dances. Gosh, that was so fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Kitchenditcher... My parents moved up to Washington so when I went back to Cali as a teenager I spent some summers with my cousins (and other family) and we always "had to be home" before any dances! :) But I do love and miss the California beaches~♥
