Hi Everyone,
Life has been very busy with a newborn around. I haven't had much time to be creative so once again I am bringing you craft ideas from Better Homes & Gardens online. These are so simple even I could find time to do them!
~Heart to Heart Garland~
How To: Make a garland of hearts cut from fabric scraps layered and attached with iron-on adhesive. Punch small holes in the sides of the hearts and tie them together with ribbon.
~Valentine Candle~
How To:
1. Cut strips of different pink patterned papers and adhere them to same-size strips of white card stock.
2. Die-cut, punch, or freehand-cut two sizes of hearts from the patterned papers. Poke tiny holes in some of the hearts to allow wire to be threaded through them.
2. Die-cut, punch, or freehand-cut two sizes of hearts from the patterned papers. Poke tiny holes in some of the hearts to allow wire to be threaded through them.
3. Join the hearts by running wire through the holes and also by wrapping the wire around the hearts, measuring the candle circumference as you go. If you wish, slide beads onto the wire as you twist and bend it into curls and loops.
~Valentine Votive Candle~
How To: Light up your love life with a votive candle creation. Place a candle in a candy dish and add a sprinkling of colorful beads to create a warm, comforting glow. Added idea: In place of beads use candy hearts or buttons etc.
~Valentines Heart Wreath~
Dozens of colorful hearts flutter on card stock cut into the shape of a wreath. Use paper punches (about $5-$20 at scrapbook supply and crafts stores) or scissors to cut hearts from colored vellum and lightweight decorative papers. See the next photo for additional directions.
How To: Curl the cut-out hearts by scraping them between your thumb and a butter knife just as you would curling ribbon. Then layer them on the round card stock base and attach each with a dab of clear-drying glue, either in the center or near one edge. Hang it with ribbon.
