Yesterday I saw one of these in the tree in front of my house. Forget the groundhog~ A Robin, to me is a sure sign that spring is in the air!
When I am having a crazy busy week I think of relaxing places that I've been to and dream of visiting them again. The short video above I took when my husband and I were driving to a rental house in La Push Washington. It's the main road into La Push. I know it's raining but my husband and I have decided that when we retire we will sit by the ocean and drink coffee no matter what the weather decides to do~ It's the little things in life~♥
What is the weather doing in your part of the world?
P.S. I posted this video also for you Twilight fans, I thought you might like to see what the road to La Push really looks like. Tree's on all sides! This video is taken behind Quileute lines-No vampires allowed.
It's raining as usual in my part of the world!
ReplyDeleteStill, I am looking forward to SPRING! Yeah!!!
Yep, the Robin definitely reminds me of Spring! Raining, dreary looking and cold here. I guess the werewolfs were watching your backs....hehehe
ReplyDeleteThat bird is just exactly what I needed to see today. It gave me hope!
ReplyDeleteIts La Push! I am such a dork, I get totally excited about Twilight stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe weather today is gray and it should rain tomorrow and Saturday.
But we have had some sunny days lately. You really make me want to see Washington, rain and all.
My husband and I always have this competition on who sees the first Robin - it defintely isn't spring until you see one. In my neck of the woods it has been snowing since before I was up at 6 this morning. Big ole fluffy flakes that reminds me of Christmas. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteWhile home is Bremerton, right now I'm in SoCal; Palm Desert. It's a bit overcast today, but still warm enough to go out in shirt sleeves & sandals!
ReplyDeleteGreat video...I haven't been to La Push in such a looong time!
Wishing and wishing for a robin to come to my neighborhood! Snow here and more forecast -- in lovely Nebraska!! Spring is a long way off.
ReplyDeleteJanet
In SoCal, it is getting ready to rain or so they say. I love that road to LaPush. What fun. XOXO
ReplyDeleteLove your post, but for us in the south when we see a robin it means that the winter is really here. LOL
ReplyDeleteI was visiting there this summer and agree it is a wonderful place. My dad lives in Washington. Enjoy the weekend.
It's supposed to snow! I loved the video Robin, but wish I could have heard your voice, too.:) Love you, Sweets... I am almost ready to send your package- finally! Yipeee! Lori
ReplyDeleteI get giddy when I see the first robin of the season. Won't be for awhile here though (Michigan). It's still snowy and cold here. :(
ReplyDeleteIt's raining....no, it's pouring...in central Alabama. I am SO READY for spring but know that we have several more weeks of winter. It would be nice to have at least one pretty snow before spring.
ReplyDeleteYou really don't want to know the weather here. Let's just say, there are two semi's in the ditch by my house and they have been there four hours. And they are not going away anytime soon. And those semi's are kept company by lot's of other cars. So wishing spring was in the air here!!! I will just have to be thankful for a fresh batch of snow!!!
ReplyDeleteKate
PS- I enjoyed your robin and the green grass! Can't even see the grass here!
Robins are a sure sign of Spring...and it is Springing very nicely here on Vancouver Island too.
ReplyDeleteSo that is the road to LaPush...where Bella travelled all the time to see Jacob.
I've been through Forks...in the late 1990's...lol...took the wrong turn when we got off the CoHo Ferry at Port Angeles on our way to th eOregon Coast. We ended up going the long way round...through Forks etc...but it was beautiful and would love to explore it more...especially now...after reading The Twilight saga.
Happy Almost Spring to you!!!
Cheers
Debbie
Hi Robin~
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty picture of the robin! And I am glad he's out and about because I am definitely ready for spring now! (The kids still want snow, but I have changed my mind on this matter!) So I agree with you, forget the little groundhog. He must be wrong, right?! :)
I WOULD tell you what the weather is like here, but it would only be telling you what you already know! :) I hope that this week will be a peaceful, restful one and make up for the week you have had! :)
Blessings,
Jenni
We are bracing for a winter storm. Weather experts expect up to 6 inches in our area. Should start sometime on Friday.
ReplyDeleteLa Push baby, it's La Push lol.
ReplyDeletejust North of you in BC and it's gorgeous! been out all week in flipflops and today i was coatless. of course the Olympic peoples are panicking with no snow but this weather is fantastic!
What a delightful sign of spring...sitting around lazily sipping coffee sounds divine! More rain is on it's way....we are a little soggy around here..
ReplyDeleteOh Robin, I wish I could "beam" myself to your corner of the world... here on the east coast we are bracing ourselves for another blizzard this weekend- they are calling for 18-24"!!!!! Not to worry, I went to the store yesterday to stock up on chips and snacks and DVD's- we are ready to be snowed in for a few days!

ReplyDeleteWow!!! I think that's got to be the most exciting video ever. I just had to keep watching it over and over. I really wish I could comment more but I'm off to watch it again and again.
ReplyDeleteRon
Robin,
ReplyDeleteI just got back from watching that amazing La Push video again and I just can't get over how excited I get. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind, if you could film a stop sign or even some dirt the next time you go to La Push!
Thanks,
Ron
(Who's dead now)
That picture of the robin is so pretty!!! Even that drive in the pouring rain is beautiful! Yes, it's raining cats and dogs here in Georgia...and it's COLD!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Robin
ReplyDeleteYour Robins are so different, they look more wiser and more sophisticated than our ones! Our little chubby Robins all look like babies compared to yours. We loved joining you on your car journey in La Push rain and all. It looks kind of mysterious and exciting.
It's still cold here with little signs of spring popping up in the garden. A few brave shoots are appearing even though we had snow again yesterday.
Have a great weekend.
Lindsay
x
beautiful picture!!!!
ReplyDeleteand
it is cold & rainy here :(
oh wow... that photo is so beautiful. Unfortunately, the Robins are still tucked away here, getting ready for a BIG Nor'easter that is about to hit tonight and tomorrow. They're calling for 10-12!!! Great weather for some home made soup again! :)
ReplyDeleteHi again Robin! I was just reading your comment and wanted to say I hope this weekend is a wonderful one with all of your family there! I have to say that is special and amazing about the five generations of women! My last living grandparent died long ago, and my children never knew her. BUT someday they will meet her! :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope you have a beautiful day!
Blessings,
Jenni
Snow snow snow....everything is canceled!
ReplyDeletesandy toe
I can't believe spring is there....I'm freezing my toes off! I can't wait until spring gets here!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your signs of spring Robin--I can't wait to get some here in NC. Love the LaPush video as I am a big Twilight fan. Coffee by the ocean in all kinds of weather sounds great to me!
ReplyDeleteSnow covers the ground here in Central IL. I have been on the lookout for a Robin and have not seen one yet. However, I did see a BlueJay today. I'll take it for now! : )
