Rainy Day Hummingbirds...

It's raining here in Seattle... So I decided to take some pictures of the hummingbirds around our place-They tend to love the rain. These little guys will most likely stay around throughout the winter.

It looks like the above hummingbird is a teenager-He is just starting to get some color...

This colorful one however is an adult who has been around for years~He definitely rules the roost!

The leaves are turning color...

Hope you all had a great weekend!
P.S. I'm crafting something new and exciting with chalkboard paint-I'll post about it sometime this week~IF it turns out! HA!

  1. Wow - those pics were great - the rain can't slow you down girl!

When making the muffins you just use the mix dry and the other ingredients on the card. They are very soft and moist so I decided I will add two eggs when making a larger version of it. I think it will need a binder so that I can cut slices and serve it easier. I'll let you know in my next post how it comes out!!

    Stay dry!!

  2. Awesome pictures. I have never seen one that close up in person. My Mom collects anything with hummingbirds on it, or hummingbird figurines.

  3. We haven't been able to get hummingbirds to stay around here. We had one or two at our feeder a couple of times, but they just didn't stick around and haven't been back. Maybe I need to try a different brand of food for them.

  15. Awww they are so cute. I never see hummingbirds around here. Your photos are fabulous.

You asked about the little sock shoes Layla was wearing. I like them a lot. She seems to like them better than shoes too. She isn't walking yet. At daycare they want her to wear shoes so these work for now. She does have a pair of cute Nikes but she doesn't really like to wear them.
