My husband got me to the hospital yesterday to see my grandbaby. Here is a photo of me holding Noelle. I am only showing side shots of her because she has two major black eyes~Her face is still very swollen and she looks like she has been put through the ringer~YET she is so beautiful & peaceful. Thank you Lord~♥
Here is Ronnie with Noelle. Yesterday was the first day they could really hold her. She cannot be put on her back for two weeks. The hospital has a special car seat she will come home in. There is a rumor she MIGHT be coming home today. Yes, we did have a major snow storm but Grandpa has chains (if need be) and will get there without a hitch~♥ We drove home from the hospital last night in a major blizzard but it was smooth sailing. Thanks again Lord~♥
Such a beautiful baby!
ReplyDeleteI can understand wanting to get good photos...When my oldest nephew was born (28 years ago), the Doc tried to pull him out with forceps before doing a C-section. One side of his face had a big scrape on it. We have a beautiful picture of him at 5 days old, with his "good" side up, sleeping peacefully. He healed without a trace of the trauma!
All the best to you & your family!
Merry Christmas!
Hugs,
Lucy

ReplyDeleteRobin, one of these days you and your family are going to look back on this last week or so and chuckle. I'm so glad y'all have made it back and forth with the roads and the weather, and how wonderful that Noel has finally made her appearance.
ReplyDeleteI used to be an ED for Make-A-Wish, and one of my all-time favorite wishes was for a 9-year-old girl, who had spina bifida. My own daughter was the same age at the time, and she played an important role in the wish. If you're ever interested in hearing about it, feel free to e-mail me at scurphey121@hotmail.com. (Or if you want to hear a friendly Texas accent, you're welcome to call me at 512-971-3901).
May you and your sweet family have a blessed Christmas.
She is adorable no matter how much of her you can see ;) What a miracle!
ReplyDeleteNoel is absolutely beautiful! I have studied a lot about spina bifida in grad school..in fact I've written oodles of papers on it as it is one of my areas of interest. I am so glad Noel is doing well and on her way home. What a perfect, sweet holiday gift.
ReplyDeleteHI Robin, I was so happy to read your post and see a picture of Noel Grace. I was thinking you should save the newspaper clippings of all the commotion that went on while her mommy was trying to get to her. Maybe draw a time line and show what it took for God to reunite baby and mommy! You could write a book with pictures and everything! Oh my gosh, all the commotion you all have had to go through...thank God He was in charge of the surgery going well. Praise God for that miracle. We will continue to pray for your precious God kissed grandbaby!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Merry Christmas!
Debbie
Robin, What a beautiful baby. I do pray that things will work out for the baby and the family. They can do wonders these days. One of my twins died 2x when he was 2 months old and they brought him back. I know God has a reason for him being here. God has a purpose for all of us. I still haven't received my stocking, and it doesn't matter, but now I'm worried about Joyce, because she hasn't been blogging. Is she sick I wonder or did something happen? I don't know how to contact her as she doesn't amswer my e-mails. Do you have any insight? Ihope everything is all right with her. Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy your little blessing.. Hugs, Tracey
