I think I got called a COFFEE SNOB on Facebook the other day!
I didn't know if it was a compliment or an insult~ So I Googled it...
Here is the definition:
It is simply being a person that is passionate about coffee. It is being able to appreciate and identify quality. It is taking time out of this fast paced, stressful world, to stop and savor coffee and enhance your quality of life.
They'd be more accurate if they called me a Starbucks Snob though~You know I have never bought a iced coffee from any place else? (Ever)
Well, at least no one called me a diet Coke snob~ It's been almost a month since I've had one and I am not going back! :)
What kind of SNOB are you?
C'mon you can tell me, I won't post it all over Facebook -I promise ;)
What's the opposite of a coffee snob? That would be me! I have NEVER bought a coffee at Starbucks - ever - or any other coffee shop or drive in restaurant. I can make it so much cheaper at home! Do you think frugile Mr. Red Door has rubbed off on me?? LOL
ReplyDeletePS - I forget to mention that I haven't had a coke or pepsi - diet or otherwiswe in 55 + years. Never cared for the taste. I really am a snob huh??!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI could definitely be called a coffee snob. I don't get Starbucks (or millionbucks as I call it) very often since there isn't one for about 60 miles from here.
ReplyDeleteI'd probably be called a music snob. I only listen to certain kinds, and certain kinds of that kind! LOL I just like what I like, you know?
ReplyDeleteI do love Starbucks, but being diabetic, the only thing I can get there is a regular coffee (don't like theirs) or a cafe misto, which is 1/2 coffee and 1/2 steamed milk, to which I add a pump of sugar-free caramel syrup and artificial sweetener. It's actually pretty yummy, so I've tried it at several different coffee shops and found that one of the little shops makes it better than Starbucks! Cheaper, too!
A month wow! good job! I wish I could give it up for good!
ReplyDeleteI am definately a tea snob. Hot tea with milk and half a sugar! I drink tea anywhere even in places like Starbucks amidst the gorgeous coffee aroma. I don't often drink coffee and I have never had iced coffee or even iced tea!
ReplyDeleteYour weird english tea snob sister!
Lindsay
x
I am an ice cream snob. Tillamook all the way!
ReplyDeleteI get called a Coffee Snob all the time too!! ( thought that was a compliment) : ) Starbucks is my favorite!!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I'm a tea lover too, just like Lindsay. I have only recently in life started to drink coffee, and I do like it, but not the way I looove tea!
ReplyDeleteI am SUCH a coffee snob and pretty proud of it. I take my coffee very seriously. I rarely and I mean RARELY go anywhere else. If I do, it's usually because I'm forced to.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great week!♥
Definitely a chocolate snob! Nothing but the best, i.e., Cadbury or Godiva. Won't even put the cheap stuff in kids' Christmas stockings or Easter baskets.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I'm probably a coffee snob which just means I like my coffee the way I like it and the heck with what others think. I'm also a classic Coke snob. I won't even touch the diet coke (sorry :-( ) Maybe I'm just a caffeine snob????
ReplyDeleteOooo...I forgot to mention tea! The stronger the better! More caffeine !!!
ReplyDeleteMy dh and I make our coffee each morning, and begin by grinding the beans. We buy organic beans to help our planet and it is so cheap vs. buying coffee at a coffee shop. Susan's idea of a misto sounds delish and I will try that soon. We aren't coffee snobs and I don't think you are either, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteA Dunkin Donuts coffee snob. I have it in the house at all times, and I do, sometimes get one brought to me when either of my guys stop at the little convenience store/DD shop up the street to pick up a soda for himself. Hot..never iced, but I will drink it cooled off. I used to drink Diet Coke (about 25+ years ago, but the taste has changed or mine has, and I cannot stand it anymore. On the rare occasion I have a soda now it is root beer...and I am a Barqs or Mug Snob then.
ReplyDeleteI am a wine snob. I only like expensive sweet wines...oh well...
ReplyDeleteI am a peach tea snob!!! But, it must be Crystal Light Peach tea!
ReplyDeleteI love, LOVE, LOVE my coffee (at home) with fat free hazelnut creamer, BUT I am watching calories right now and the hazelnut creamer has them so I have stopped coffee for now. It has been since last Thursday so I think I am doing good.♥
STARBUCKS!!!!!! No other place have better frapuccinos than Starbucks!
ReplyDeleteYep. Me, too. If you're from the Seattle area, and you love your coffee, I think it's required that you're a coffee snob. I've found in my travels, no one makes a really *good* cup of joe like Starbucks!
ReplyDeleteHa, that's funny...coffee snob ;) I don't know what kind of a snob I'd be? Maybe an Etsy snob?? But no...I shop other handmade places (I just love me some Etsy ;)
ReplyDeleteJamie :)
I'm a chocolate snob, I guess. Cheap chocolate is a waste of money and space. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how much I enjoyed all the beautiful pics of Noelle with her Papa on your day trip. Each one was a treasure. I'm so glad you shared them with us.
I hope you're having a great Summer.
Mary Lou
Wow! That is really a feat that you haven't had Diet Coke. I am impressed. I could barely make it through 24 hours without it. haha I was ready to strangle someone the other day. So, I like Starbucks too. The iced mocha there is delish. I have it other places (not too many) and it's definitely not as good. I wouldn't call myself a coffee snob because I rarely drink it. I only drink hot coffee when it's really cold outside and I get an iced coffee from Starbucks if I'm at Target and I'm in the mood for one. I'm definitely a Diet Coke snob though because I only drink that or Diet Pepsi when it comes to pop.
ReplyDeleteOh I could not give up coffee. Nope I love my cup of coffee in the morning...it begins my day and I thoroughly enjoy it. I don't need any all the rest of the day..
ReplyDeletehmmmmm what kind of snob am I?....well maybe pop. I really don't drink Diet Coke anymore...
have a great day Robin.
Judi
Hi Robin! This is a cute post! :) Okay, I guess I am definitely a coffee snob, too! I am so SO picky about coffee. :) Now if I am getting regular drip coffee, and I need to buy it away from home, it's Tully's for me! There coffee is much less strong, but I'm a house blend girl!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a good weekend, and are doing well! :)
Take care my friend,
Jenni
